Our South Texas Quail Hunts are Great for Every Level

Double J Ranch offers a wide variety of hunting in Dimmit County, Texas between Cotulla, and Big Wells and in Medina County in Castroville and Hondo. Our quail hunting courses will provide a challenging and fun experience for any level shooter.

When you book with us, you get a day of hunting South Texas bobwhite quail (morning & evening). Our guides take very good care of you during your stay, and the dogs and handlers are excellent. Meals and lodging included with your hunt.

FAQ’s

South Texas Wildlife

Excellent diversity of turkey, bobwhite quail, dove, javelina, feral hogs, coyotes, bobcats, as well as an abundance of non-game species can be found on the land. Native South Texas brush including mesquite, guajillo, black brush, coma, brazil, guayacan, granjeno, persimmon, twisted acacia, and prickly pear is prominent in this part of South Texas. Relatively flat to slightly undulating land, with native grasses and forbs, highly desired for bobwhite quail and doves. Our habitat management includes shredding, discing, food plots, and water distribution.

Lodging at Its Finest

When you hunt with Double J Ranch the accommodations included will always be 5-star. The lodge is complete with everything you need to relax after your hunt. With open-wide space for even the largest gathering. The main family room has a comfortable living area with a large flat screen TV and surround sound, plus each room has AC climate control. Alcohol is not provided but hunters are welcome to bring their own.
